You don't have to animate water retards, you just have to animate how the characters movements would be underwater.

Which is also difficult, I'll try though.

    Here's mine!

I think some parts go to fast. Feel free to critique.

The walk cycle when he's walking towards the rock is like that on purpose.

Critique on the actual rock lift and push are appreciated though.

    Thanks guys!

When he gets thrown back to the left side it would have been cool to see the movement fast to slow mixed with a bunch of tiny bubbles.

Yeah I realized that I didnt give it any water dynamics. He flew off the rock like it was air. And as he's pushing it up it should shift his weight and balance the higher it gets.

And if I wanted to add details I would put some bubbles in there.

Thanks guys. Cant wait to see all of yours. Twas good practice nonetheless.

I kinda half-assed mine. But I actually did one this week. so ha. (i skipped frames, which is why the animation blinks at points. Embarassed )

I like it, DarkShadow. The way he pulls on it looks nice. Shows heaviness.

Pyco: Not bad, I think it might have looked better if the character had swum to the rock or floated over there kicking his feet a little. A person can't really jump and skid like that underwater...or at least not without a slower decent and some dust kicking up when he lands.

Fawx: Man, I've always liked the way you draw stuff haha. The arm was smooth and fluid and the expressions in the face when the head gets shot back are great too. But the way he touches the box and pulls it looks strange. It’s like his hand was sticky and it pasted to the chest until he pulled it off. I think using two hands would have made the action (even if it was sticky), look more convincing. A few bubbles coming from the chest in the start or when it was swaying around also gives a better clue he's underwater. Right now the few bubbles he gives look like "I'm drunk" bubbles...hmm, maybe they could float up a bit higher before popping? Still very nice!
