you can use pretty much any large photo as a texture, but if you don't mind taking a couple seconds to register, http://cgtextures.com is a great resource.

So I Just put them over my colour layer and make it translucent?

you can just make it translucent if you want, but if you're using a program like photoshop where you have layer settings, setting it to overlay first gives some really nice effects.

I just scanned in a pencil sketch from my sketchbook, changed the lines to black, fixed it up, coloured it in photoshop and added textures... then shrunk it down after to hide my sloppy workmanship.fawx wrote:holy d jess how did you do that quite right thing
